Suggestion that it's Diaby and Doku we're after, rather than either or.

Diaby Doku. Isn’t that what the Krankies used to say?

Yes, people have been suggesting that on Twitter for a couple of days now.

If we are gonig for both I'll trust Emery but for me they're a bit too similar. I know his record in Italy isn't great but I think i'd prefer someone like de ketelaere as the 2nd option.

Johnson would be my choice.

I think Vinny on here, who seems to get some genuine info said that we certainly wanted him.

I think I’d prefer the safety of Johnson, but then I don’t work in football so never watch the bundesliga.

With Johnson, he pretty much kept Forest up in his own so it suggests he has that ability to step up under pressure.

The issue with Johnson might be the price...

As an unwilling seller, Forest would probably want €50m+.

Whereas we could get Doku for around £35m.

And we might need the saving if Newcastles banker club keep raising the price of Diaby...

Seeing the patronym Johnson popping up on here is irritating me more than it should. Can't he change his name?

Dunno about that. Johnson was definitely important but Awoniyi scored more goals and at more important times. If any single player was the difference between Forest going down and staying up it was him over Johnson.

Their whole front line 'ticked' towards the end of the season with Gibbs-White playing a big part as well.

Aston Villa have now reached an agreement in principle with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Moussa Diaby. Total fee understood to be around €50 million. Personal terms have already been agreed. 🟣#AVFC

Al-Nassr’s latest contract offer is a massive increase compared to the one offered by Aston Villa therefore Diaby will wait for Al-Nassr to agree a fee then make his decision. #Transfers
