I don't think Mrs Desailly would have been living in Toxteh, had her husband signed for that annoying Red club. Anyway, here is where all the footballers live when they sign for Marseille: the select quartier of La Castellane.

Felix is quality. When Man Utd battered Chelsea the other week, he came on as a sub, looked a threat and scored. On commentary, Neville asked whether he would be at Chelsea would be there next season. The lead commentator said there's an option but would probably go back to Madrid. Neville replied that of all the players they have, he's the one that stands out and the one they could really do with keeping.

As Hookey says though, the figures involved are astronomical. I saw an article yesterday saying he's on £270k/week. And you're probably looking at £15m+ for a one-year loan fee.

I wondered how long it would take for us to be linked with him after January. I don't see it being very realistic though.

So only a bit more than a year of Ross Barkley then.

So far this week on various dodgy sites I have seen us linked with:

Largie Ramazani - A winger at Almeria quoted at €35m, never heard of him and seems a steep price.

Harvey Barnes - Yes please.

Yuri Teilemans - On a free I think he would add some depth and quality to the squad. An improvement on Sanson who will surely leave on a free,

Pau Torres - Obvious link as he has played under Emery. Given how good Mings and Konsa have been lately, and that we have Carlos to come back, iyt would be a strange one to spend a big chunk of the budget on. Good player though.

Kieran Tierney - Strange link as I can't see us getting a third expensive left back in successive transfer windows. Maybe Digne is to be sold though.

Tammy Abraham - Reckon that one is just lazy speculation.

Joao Felix - Would be an exciting signing, but very expensive. Maybe if Coutinho goes we would have space on the wage bill (not that I wan't Coutinho to go, as I think when he is fit and available Emery will have him playing well).

Largie Ramazani - A winger at Almeria quoted at €35m, never heard of him and seems a steep price. No idea

Harvey Barnes - Yes please. Agree

Yuri Teilemans - On a free I think he would add some depth and quality to the squad. An improvement on Sanson who will surely leave on a free, Bad attitude and big wages no thanks

Pau Torres - Obvious link as he has played under Emery. Given how good Mings and Konsa have been lately, and that we have Carlos to come back, iyt would be a strange one to spend a big chunk of the budget on. Good player though. Carlos being back fit is a new player on its own so depends on what form and fitness he can regain

Kieran Tierney - Strange link as I can't see us getting a third expensive left back in successive transfer windows. Maybe Digne is to be sold though. Digne, like Countinho,  is on daft wages so maybe that is the thinking

Tammy Abraham - Reckon that one is just lazy speculation. Agree - love him for what he did in getting us back but would be 40-50m and not obvious improvement on Ollie

Joao Felix - Would be an exciting signing, but very expensive. Maybe if Coutinho goes we would have space on the wage bill (not that I wan't Coutinho to go, as I think when he is fit and available Emery will have him playing well). Doubt it will happen - wages nearly double Coutinho

I can see us going for Tierney to be honest, but only if we move Digne on. The way Tierney plays absolutely fits with how we play, and Emery was at Arsenal when he signed from Celtic.

My concern would be that he seems to be made of balsa wood.

I can't see Sanson leaving on a free, tbh. He still has two years left on his contract, so we'd be chucking a load of FFP money down the Seine.

He's been getting loans and therefore loan-fees, so I can imagine they will want something for him.

Tierney is a fine player, and as he has shown for Scotland can also fit in well in central defence, when needed. As others have said though, he is injury prone, otherwise I'm not sure Arsenal would be keen to see him leave. As regards Digne, I thought he was excellent v Brighton.

Plus he was getting rave reviews earlier in the season for his performances on loan.

Players I think may leave this window:

Hause - Can't see him staying, possibly one last loan if no buyers.
Davis - One year left on his contract, we should try and get a fee.
Sanson - Three managers haven't fancied him, despite him looking OK when played.
Nakamba - Would imagine Luton will offer us something for him.
Traore - I like him, but can't see us keeping him.
Coutinho - Wouldn't surprise me to see us move him out to reduce the wage bill, maybe to Saudi Arabia.
Olsen - Please please let him be sold!
Steer - Gone
Young - Gone
Wesley - Hopefully they find him another loan club, maybe in the Spanish 4th division.

Young players that might be integrated into the squad:

Iroegbunam
Archer
Philogene Bidace
Kessler Haydon
Duran

Leaves us short of competition at  right back, and no reserve goal keeper. Bit light up front, and on the wing.

Based on that I see priorities being a right back, two forwards and a backup GK. Maybe another central defender too. Surprised most of the links seem to be for central midfielders where we are reasonably well off.

Now that we're in Europe, Morg will return and play his part.

Felix? - nah, not for me. Expensive hit-n-miss sort of player.

Players from relegated clubs that are any good:

Leicester - Maddison, Barnes, Evans, Teilemans.
Southampton - Walker-Peters, Ward-Prowse, Livromento.
Leeds - Gnonto, Harrison.

Already been linked to Barnes and Ward-Prowse. Would take Walker-Peters as competition for Cash, and think Gnonto will become a very good player. Maddison would be a good signing.

People keep mentioning Walker-Peters but from what I've seen he's crap.
