I thought going forward, we looked great. Really quick, one touch passes, long balls from the back sometimes and well, it bodes well I think.

I thought Torres was supposed to be quick, didn't seem especially so today. It's still Konsa and Mings for me to start the season.

It's not like you to find fault with a new player so quickly.

It's not like you to have a passive-agressive go at other posters for having the mildest of opinions. Oh my mistake, it's exactly like you.

Like you do with, say Footy?

Calm down, just an observation.

I do have Footy blocked but I thought I'd have a look after TV's reaction.

Fucking hell. Which one them wrote that?

This must be another Clampy then?

That was a game that shows why we need a new striker.

He has spells of good form, & spells like 'that'...

I like his work-rate, but to progress as a football club, we need work-rate with finishing.

This is destined to be the most exciting team since ‘77

The only real observation I’ve made of Torres so far is that he does look very good on the ball. I think we’ll find out more after he’s played in the competitive games. Diaby certainly looks the business though, and so does Tielemans who I will admit to being a bit concerned about from how he’d apparently played for Leicester last season. Another superb free pick up.

I've blocked him. Have you?

I'm also not  finding fault with a player after his second game, in a freindly.

Beardsley & Cole up front.

McPartlin & Donnelly at the back.

Tielemans looks much fitter already than he did for Leicester at any point last season. My friend who's mates with Iheanacho said that the atmosphrere under Brenda was toxic and a lot of the senior players had stopped playing for him. Which isn't great, but then you could say the same about our team under Gerrard if the Fulham game was anything to go by.

You're unpleasantly weird and obsessed with criticising other posters, and it's why so many people have called you out on it over the years. I'll leave it there before I get told off.

Yeah true. Anyway, he shows no signs of surlyness at the moment and he’s a fine player. I have a feeling he’ll be in against Newcastle even though no one else has picked him.
