The ref's letting a few challenges go. The tackle on Bouba before their equaliser would most likely have been penalised in the Prem, but tbf, we've gotaway with a few too.

Got the bay windows open. Someone next door is up late smoking weed. Never had that before. It is wafting in and annoying me.
You live in a house with a bay window, how posh is that?

Newcastle seem all blood and thunder still.

Diaby is going to be interesting, as we'll give ourselves an extra 5-10 yards of space further up the pitch. Our transition play is brilliant, pop-pop pass and we've broken their lines. That electric pace on the long diagonal will be an extra dimension.

We are miles better than we were 12 months ago. Really good to watch. Ming's passing had been superb. Buendia sharper and more confident. Not sure the full backs are up to scratch and Konsa still looking most likely to maker way for Pau... JPB very lively

All of the games so far are oddly high scoring.

Last season we made these mistakes and learned to cut them out. Defensively we were superb from Feb on. We are just getting back into things. We are going to fine when the season gets going. Going forward we already look excellent

In days of yore, lots of posters would be saying the result doesn't matter, it's all about miles in legs and getting the fitness levels up and they'd be better off running up the Clent/Malvern/Brecon Beacon.

Half time 2-2
From the outset We looked fantastic in the way okay the game, and every time we went forward, it looked like Villa would score.
Philogene has been great in his offensive play.
In fact the midfield's and team's overall quality of play and possession has been a joy to watch, and it's terrific to see the football being played.
Kamara and Cash, in particular, appear to struggle with football.
Both have struggled to see the options at times and Kamara has been caught in possesion including his fault for the goal
