Buendia looks really good here. Hopefully this season he will explode and really reach his potential.

I am maintaining a default status of 'it's only a pre-season game in the US do not get carried away.'

True but we're playing some fantastic football and we're suckering them with their high press.

Philogene is playing really well, I reckon he might push his way into the mix if he carries on, given he's a 'free' pick for europe.

What's the Newcastle line up like? How close to a Prem starting 11 are they?

2-3 likely starters missing but still very strong.

Jolinton, Wilson and Botman maybe?

Wilson being the question mark. Obviously Pope as well but he's injured. Barnes maybe but he's about as new to them as Diaby is for us.

Shouldn't read much into less than 20 minutes of pre-season, but... Bidace isn't one I thought of being involved in the conversation. Didn't think he excelled at Cardiff, but he has looked handy here.

I'm very impressed by JPB. Looks great. He reminds me a lot of Eze at Palace.

Barnes is on the bench, has he even trained with them? Are they hard up for players?
