What we need to understand is that Unai wouldn’t have spent hours analysing Walsall (but there again I might be wrong) so no conclusions can be drawn from today other than he got a good look at the kids

Unai has probably spent 20 hours a day for the last two weeks analysing Walsall! ;)

Was Unai interviewed after the game and was he asked about transfers do we know?

Was a pretty good knock about, more fun once all the kids came on.  Tim best first half, enjoyed Bogarde, Revan & Chrisene when they came on

Agree with comments on Buendia, he just doesn’t stand out to me…that should have been a stroll to influence and he was poor

Were the team late that created the delay? Walsall went through a full day match day warm up before we even came out.

9328 including 3975 Villa.  That’s pretty impressive in the middle of July.

I hope we let Walsall keep all the money.

The weather looked good in Walsall, it's been lashing it down here on and off all day.

Don’t get me started!

I saw the forecast for rain so went dressed like a north sea fisherman and took the piss out of my mate on the way who hadn’t even brought a coat, the fool!

Isn't it part of the agreement that allows Villa Ladies to play home games at Bescot?

I was literally 10 miles away watching on TV and the rain was almost washing the house away yet Walsall was in a heatwave

I thought we started sloppily and never really got out of that, all a bit pedestrian. Duggie the pick of the lot for me although Sanson also impressed in trying to pick up the pace a little.

Has anyone got a list of the second half players, as hadn’t a clue who some of them were although I thought the wingers were promising in spells.

A few young lads would have got some great selfies with Duggie when he was taking that corner and there was an injury hold up, that will have made their day. Well done.

Something I remembered, just before 1 the players were practicing defending crosses supervised by a coach I didn’t recognise, from close by it looked a bit of a mess with many players indicating they weren’t sure of where they were supposed to be.  No surprise that we conceded from a set piece.

I thought the same, ironically Carlos managed to get his head on one cross though.

Looked like an error from Feeney lead to the goal
