Just noticed that Bailey is still on international duty with Jamaica. They're through to the SF on Thursday, and then finals on Monday if they make it.

Presumably he'll be given time off before coming back to us. Missing a few of the preseason matches as a result.

Be interesting to see how we line up without him and Ramsey.

Looking at the training footage from yesterday it's hard to see who's missing. Obviously Emi, Mings, and McGinn aren't there. Ramsey and Archer both missing too. I don't see Dendocker, Sanson, or Coutinho, which makes you wonder.

I was wondering the same thing myself

Nor Nakamba / Hause - i know they may be going but you would think UA has never even met them?

I could understand players that are 99% of the way to the exit not being at training. Rumours about Sanson and Dendonker both having multiple clubs after them could mean they're negotiating and almost ready to leave. So somewhat pointless having them there for a few days.

Coutinho was supposedly working with a fitness coach over the summer which sounds like a positive thing. Maybe whatever injury kept him out of the end of the season is still an issue and he's been allowed more time off. Or, maybe he's out the door too.

I did see Moreno on one of those short clips of players coming into the building, but I don't think he's in any of the video of full training. So possible Coutinho is there just flying under the radar.

Moreno won't be back in training, still injured, surely?

Was thinking the same myself, surely he'll be getting 3 weeks off once they get knocked out. Will he even be available to play at all in any of the August fixtures?

He was at Bodymoor yesterday morning with the other players. Pretty sure he wasn't out on the pitch training with them though.
I was just pointing out he was present because we were wondering why we haven't seen Coutinho, and maybe he was still injured. But if Moreno is injured and still there then Coutinho should be too.

There's not much of a difference between them losing the SF or the Final, so we'll say he's not off until this coming weekend. 3 weeks off puts him at the 6th of August, which is barely making it back for Prem kick off, never mind pre season.

Hopefully we sign a midfielder before the US matches, but they'll definitely make for interesting viewing with no Bailey or Ramsey.

Not really the point, is it.

In assessing whether or not it's a problem Bailey returning late? He's hardly essential.

We were discussing the fact that two of our regular starters in midfield will be missing for all of preseason, if not longer. We've only signed one midfielder so far. So at the moment it's a question of how we're going to line up in midfield if no new additions come in before the US matches.

The team for Saturday will be 4 or 5 1st team players, with the rest being from the under 23s (reserves)

Does anyone know if/when/how Valencia tickets will go on sale?
