I was thinking that as well as hosting a couple of concerts this summer maybe they are giving the pitch as much time to recover as possible - or even blocking time in case they need to re-lay it.

On Monday they had started to take the seats out of the North Stand Lower for the concerts.

More like giving the pitch time to recover from Pink/Springsteen/KickStart. It will be just 6 week from the motorbikes until the first game of the season.
