We've signed young players up to new contracts and then sent them out on loan, so Feeney being left out makes sense from that perspective.

Emery has said Duran will play a part so don't get that, unless he's injured?

Looks like Iroegbunam is going out on loan then, assuming it's not an oversight.

No Duran, no Iroegbunam?

My first thoughts too. Tommy O’REILY stood out at Walsall I thought too. Disappointed if Tim isn’t involved around first team this year given that we need to list homegrown talent for europa squads

Tim adds nothing in terms of homegrown, he's U21 so we could play him in every game even if we don't name him. The only player who could have an impact on the squad we annonuce for Europe is Philogene who is old enough to need to announced and has bene with us long enough to be 'club-grown'. I thought Davis as well but he wasn't with us long enough before turning 21 to count.

Nice to see Aaron Ramsey (and Archer) included on the trip and interesting that Sanson has gone as well.

This is the first chance that Unai has had to have a look at Sanson.

There's a player in there, it will be interesting to see how much game time he gets.

He could have had a look at him if he wanted, by not sending him out on loan. I fully suspect he'll be on his way this summer.

As soon as Emery arrived we started our drive up the league - he really did not have time to see him apart from training ground. He played and scored in the shambles that was Stevenage so pre season is ideal.

I think Duran is on the continent so would be easier to meet us there - same for Bailey

I don't think it matters where they physically are at the moment, Duran simply isn't on the official squad list.

Where is the idea that Duran isn't at BMH coimng from? He was on the 'day in the life' video that they did with Cash last week.

It sounds like they're still having to manage the load on Duran.

Can't see him going on loan if there's any kind of physical worries/issues of that kind.

I think that as a look at the Moors fan base tonight-  it really is Aston Villa lite nowadays. I saw 1 overt Blues fan.

Quite funny going to my Lads nursery and seeing Villa parents and kids outnumbering Blues by about 4 to 1.
In Shirley.

As I said their fanbase never grew much even after 2002 and ours continued even when  we were crap under Lambert etc Al.

Now we are everywhere and they aren't
