I don't live in Birmingham, still attend games, and yes I did enjoy it.

I’ve been to a game with TV, I think it was the 0-0 bore draw with Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Fuck me. That was truly miserable. Only made better by the company and pint we enjoyed.

Did you have two straws at least?

It was pre Covid man. Absolutely not.

I'm still in shock that there are nine teams threatened with relegation and we are not one of them. Happy days.

This! It's very heartwarming:D

I don’t get some negative posts about Buendia. Yesterday he tore them to shreds in the first 20 mins when we should have scored 2/3 more than we did. Gary O’Neill realised that and put a man on him for the rest of the half and Emi found it difficult to cope with that however got the better of his marker several times in the second half. It’s all part of his development from good to great and hopefully he will become great by dealing with close attention.

Our record signing, playing in his best position, shouldn't be losing possession as easily as Emi does. Great ball in for Watkins but that aside he was poor I thought.

I think his first 5 touches gave away possession.
I like his creativity but is often at the expense of giving the ball away too often.
We are a posession based team and he is gong to need to improve this aspect of his game.

Mind you he did say we’ve been steadily climbing the table. Haven’t we been eleventh for about 3 months?

Far more important was his closing remark about Jacob

Quote from: Garth Crooks in rare moment of lucidity
It would appear Aston Villa now have a grown-up in charge and not a manager who was learning on the job.

Someone in the press has finally got the message.

Can someone tell me why there was a VAR check on our third goal? It's so deflating when the check comes onto the screen. No way could that be offside with two Bournemouth players on the goal line. The 'hand ball' that deflected JJ's goal bound shot over the bar should've been a penalty. Why didn't they ask the ref to check it on the pitch side monitor?

I get a nagging feeling we're never going to get out of eleventh, finishing the season with a record points total for that position, and having to console ourselves with the knowledge of something along the lines of in two of the previous eighteen seasons it would have been enough for CL qualification.

It does feel like this, but I hope Brighton, Fulham and maybe even Brentford start dropping some points. The gap is closing but because we’ve been rooted for so long in 11th it doesn’t feel like it. In the other hand our form is off the radar somewhat.

Just as we get momentum with winning football matches, we get the international break

Thought we played well Saturday, some of our passing and movement was excellent

But again you can see why we need a centre back who is comfortable passing the ball into our midfield to make the Emery way of playing a success

For Bournemouth if they go down if they can keep their 3 attackers for next season they will score a lot of goals next season with the pace of their attack.
