Hit his thigh according to the Guardian. Must've been another clip they saw. Astounding.

Even the sky app says it should've been a pen.

VAR was introduced to HELP the on field officials make better and more accurate decisions. Their job wasn’t initially introduced to make decisions. It was to suggest to the match ref, hey take a closer look at this. It has completed failed in that regard. This was a clear example of where the on field officials missed it and the ref would have given the penalty upon his review. Absolute shit
But it's a subjective decision & that's why VAR is a waste of time and will never work.

The pen decision was a joke, the only reason I can see for not giving it is the keeper would have easily caught it.

Since when was that a thing? It doesn't matter if the ball's going nowhere near the goal.

It isn't a thing, just like the ball hitting his thigh isn't a thing, it never happened. The thing is, they will get away with it.

Yes,  deflection to hand isn't a penalty anymore

Started well but need the second while we're on top, I can see them skanking one when we inevitably piss around at the back and cock it up.

Every single time Buendia gets the ball with his back to goal, he turns straight into the defender and loses it. You'd think he'd learn.
