There's o a photo I took back in the 90s of the back of the holte before kick off. I see it every now and then on Facebook footy pages.

This one, as i've seen this a few times

That's my baby 👍

As a fan of Fussball Geekz on Twitter, I'm loving this thread. Keep it going, gentlemen.

Boxing Day 1968- in hindsight I reckon this is when AVFC woke up and the 12 year repair job began. Others may rightly have different opinions.

I was there. I always thought the late Brian Tiler headed his goal from about thirty yards though someone on here was clear that I was out of my tiny mind.
It is an old tired mind so he was probably correct.

That’s a great picture. It would be good to find a version without the watermark. It must be the 0-1 game in 1993 which lost the first EPL title race.

My mate found this on the interweb and sent it to me

Nice one.

Big Ron looks like he'd be better suited to the Saturday morning Wrestling.

I saw that on twitter and someone said it's mad to think they'd have both been in their early 40's at that point, younger than me now yet they look late 50's!

You don't have to think. Look at the hair and the shorts.

Not sure where exactly, but it's me at VP. My first game.

(I was subsequently told that my Dad had a fight with Staunton during a GAA game when they were in their teens, which might explain his expression - or, more likely, he was very drunk.)
