Secure parking near ground

I normally park on Tyburn Road and walk in via the reservoir but it's not secured in any way.  King Edward VI Aston School Playing Fields works reasonably well but I only use it occasionally.

A lot of people with blue badges park on Priory Road.  Some poor chap came back to his car to find the whole front of it had been dismantled and nicked after the match yesterday.

Tickets are one pitfall for street parking, the other being the spate of car break-ins as well. I remember many a time walking down towards Perry Barr and every third car had a smashed window. It might have alleviated now most cars have built in entertainment things which make them hard to take.

I have parked in streets around Upper Sutton street, Bevington and Whitehead road etc for about 37 years and never had any problem. Maybe driving Datsun 100A helps

Power League worked well for us. Got a space easy enough just over an hour before KO. Walk was about 20 mins at a 7-year old's pace. Took maybe 20 mins to get away after the game. A tenner.

We commented on Sunday how quiet the Power League was, I think there was only 2 pitches being used when we turned up, normally they’re all in use.The bar was quite busy but then most people disappeared at least an hour before ko.

To be fair, I've been walking that route(ish) for years and haven't seen many problems at all.  As well as the blue badge holders you also get some very pricey cars parking on Priory Road.  No blue badge but I guess they don't care about the fines.

Didn't see that part of the post! I honestly don't think I've seen any damage to cars, certainly not to mine, in nearly 40 years. Admittedly I get the train when I can so don't drive that often.

We walked past one that had exactly that done to it in Aston Hall Road after the game on Sunday....not seen that for a long time! A lot of Blue Badges park there.
