Villa v Middlesbrough old ticket stubs wanted
« on: January 27, 2023, 10:18:11 AM »
Not sure if anyone can help me please. I'm a Middlesbrough memorabilia collector and I'm trying to fill some gaps in my ticket collection.

I'm after the following ticket stubs if anyone has them for sale?
Villa v Middlesbrough 17.01.93
Middlesbrough v Villa 01.01.96
Middlesbrough v Villa 03.05.97
Middlesbrough v Villa 14.02.00
Middlesbrough v Villa 06.04.02
Middlesbrough v Villa 28.01.03
Middlesbrough v Villa 18.12.04
Villa v Middlesbrough 05.03.05
Middlesbrough v Villa 04.02.06
Villa v Middlesbrough 12.03.08

Any help finding these is appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

Keep us posted as to how our Archer is getting on from a fan's point of view. I'll ask my ticket collector friend if he has any.

NTL or Middlesborough? I'm not sure which poured more money into us

Archer has been excellent for us so far. Started last 3 games, man of the match on his first start and scored on Saturday on his third start. Ramsey hasn't made the squad yet, but back in full training  :)

I'd like to see an Archer hattrick but them to lose... 😁

Was mooching about on Youtube the other day and watched that play off final against Chelsea from 1988 (it could have so nearly been us) when it kicked off royally afterwards.

The commentator read out the 'Boro squad at the end and I hadn't realised there had been a previous version of 'Villa reserves' that pre-dated the Southgate, Ehiogu and Boeteng exodus as Dean Glover, Paul Kerr, Mark Burke and Kevin Poole were in there

Was that when there was the play off between the bottom end of the 1st division and the top end of the 2nd? I remember that because our postman at the time was a Boro fan. He got into trouble because he always took miles too long on his round. And it turns out that one of the reasons he was so slow is that he was having it off with my sister.

Yes it was, an old fella I used to work with from Oxford went with his lad as he'd took the wife down for some shopping, said it was absolute mayhem afterwards.

And that's brilliant regarding the postman emptying his sack

This post, from 5000 miles and thirty years away, has nostalgia pulsing through me. Not that I was ever a postman, nor did I have it off with your sister (to my knowledge), but postmen having it off with sisters...well, it's what Pulp songs are made of.
