Utterly cheated by the worthless cheating ****ing ****s officiating today.

Villa cheating every time they got tackled got them the three points despite being by far the worst team we’ve seen at St Mary’s this season.

 Utter ****ing scandal.

That'll do, pig.

Was convinced we'd lose.  Glad Ollie stepped up today & thank goodness (again!) for Emi M.

Didn’t follow the game in the most part, got in the car to find out Southampton had scored, followed by, according to 5Live, much protesting from our players then it’s finally ruled out, not sure what for?
Looked at the score on my phone in the shop and Ollie had scored.
No clue how we played, whether it was deserved or not but a great 3 points and that’s, I think, 3 away league wins on the bounce. Moving on up, get in there!!

The southampton player trod on Ramseys heel as the cross came over, it was a clear foul no matter how many people call it soft.

Scrappy game against a side that were desperate for a result, Bailey gave us nothing today Watkins was our only threat, we need a key forward. Worried about Moreno, hope he is still adjusting to the pace. We are so close to having a very good side I hope we can get a couple more in before the end of January.

I thought their goal should have stood. Had it been up the other end I'd be fuming. BUT...they were dreadful.

It was ground out result. We probably made it a little harder than it needed to be with poor decision making up top. Bailey and Emi2 were really frustrating today. Kamara was classy again. Douglas played quite well. JJ looks rusty and I'm not entirely convinced about him playing where he was.

Emi 1 was excellent. I thought Mings and Konsa did okay (albeit I'd hope they raise it up against better players) Moreno a little bit hit and miss today and could have been punished by better opposition. Young was great until about 75 minutes. If the last couple of games have showed Emery one thing about Young is, great as he is, he's got to be coming off at 70-80 minutes. He looked knackered.

Watkins needs help too. He ran himself into the ground, so I'm hoping we'll see Duran fairly soon.

What on Earth has happened to Phil? He looks completely shot of confidence. I'm not sure anything he tried came off. I know he's not the best physically either but he probably lost every single duel and 50/50 he went in for. I really hope he gets a goal soon or pulls something out of the bag to give him a boost. I'd hate to have to write him off.

Not great, but we worked hard and a wins a wins a win.

We are getting results and playing actual football. The house isn’t on fire lads.

These are just fantastic days. Top owners, elite manager, getting results, being smarter off the pitch and yet sometimes we still find negatives to obsess over. Enjoy the weekend!

It's a timely reminder of just how shite we were under the previous manager though. The turnaround has been miraculous, we didn't look like we'd win an away game all season and now we have three wins on the spin. I wonder what Gerrard's thinking. There aren't many professions where you can sit and what your successor make a mockery of the job you were doing.

Emery achieving these results with the same players he inherited is so impressive. Once he starts to fit his own pieces into the jigsaw, we could really fly. Surely this isn't a false dawn for once.

I hope we bolster our attacking options this month because top 8 is a realistic target and top 6 is hardly out of the question now. We do have a tough run in though but for once we're making the most of a favourable run of games.

Desperate for attacking options, both buendia and Bailey were so poor. Ollie ran himself ragged and the difference with him and ings up top is night and day.
We look a proper team, thought mings was superb

The worst team they’ve played at home this season still managed to dominate possession, have way more shots and win 1-0. Oh dear, how shit must they be then? Doesn’t look good.

Bejesus that was ugly as sin. Take three points and scarpa. Can get used to this winning caper though.

We did get lucky on their goal, but am I the only one who still can't believe we didn't get a penalty first half for a foul on Ramsey? Everyone eating all kinds of shit I guess.

Anyway, nasty wins are still wins, and it's not like we were Stoking or Burnleying around, just a bit of an edge which any team needs to do well. Largely defended well, Ash clearly has some sort of witch he sees, thought Doug and Ollie did well and Martinez and Kamara, fuck me, they really could play for virtually any team on earth.
