Emery masterclass.2-0 cruising and Sanson lost his man to make it harder than it would have been. Very encouraging none the less; Young immense but Kamara was different gravy.

Young was the main culprit for their goal. Samson had to run 40 yards to try to make up for him being done.

Gnonto was threatening that all night.

Hard to work out yet if he is the real deal (ignoring Gary Neville's infatuation) or we made him look shit hot.

Bargains can still be had.  He's a full international for Italy at 19 and moved to Leeds three months ago from Zurich for just under £4 mill.

The kind of deal our 'data driven' approach should be uncovering.

Rather than Digne, Coutinho et al who Martin O'Neill could have scouted.

Kamara was outstanding tonight so I’m wondering why Sky gave MoM to Bailey??

Did they? Bizarre.

Difficult for Neville to see any of our players play from his position deep up Gnontos arse.
On yes I found the commentary very bias towards Leeds and Gnoto.
There was no recognition that Villa are learning a new way of playing
Pathetic know how in that respect.
Kamara showed some excellent touches but was completely ignored in praise

Always great to win when we're not at our best, but that was a dreadful performance.  Better and more ruthless teams than Leeds would have turned us over.  We cannot keep trying to pass out from the back with Mings and Konsa.  They can't do it.

Are you the berk who calls our manager Pinocchio?

If not I apologise.

Pinocchio? Where did that come from in relation to Emery?

BC Villain’s hilarious name calling after Emery said we’d be all in for the cups this season.

Very pleasing to see Bailey playing with confidence and getting the goal, and making the second. A bit too nonchalant on the ball in the second half but when he drove at Leeds he gave them problems.

Kamara and Young superb. Mings and Konsa looked solid. Moreno looked very confident considering he's just come in. Emi shithousing them with his time wasting...glorious.

Everyone else did okay.

Not the best performance but a well earned and hard thought win. Very important to get back to winning ways at VP. We want to finish the season strongly. Half way point and 25 points. If we can notch it up another 30 in the second half that would be great going. Project Cup might have gone to shite. Project league is going pretty well.

Other positives - thought we looked like a team, and there is a togetherness.

I thought Phil looked good when he came on - there goalie should have been sent off for that complete bollock he dropped

They were too busy wanking off about Gnonto for them

Because it was Gary Neville
The most successful manager in Spain....

Young was fantastic.
As was Martinez.  Despite a yellow card.
They showed proper leadership.

Annoyance at his two poor disappointing team selections in the cups after telling us he wanted to win a trophy.  Admit I went too far with the pinocchio comment

I don't think we played that badly, overall. Mings and Konsa clearly in need of someone to run the defence and Watkins/Ings may as well not be on the pitch, but the rest did okay.

We've signed plenty of promising young players in the last few years though, it's just that most of them are still playing U18 or U21 level. Of course the best player on the pitch by a millions miles was a 22year old we signed on a free so...

Strong battling performance. Committed, working hard, fighting for each other and the club - give me this and that will do for now.
The rest will improve. We've come such a long way already under Unai.
