I'd like this selection.

Martinez Captain.
Young, Konsa, Mings, Digne
Kamara, Luiz, Ramsey
Watkins, Ings, Bailey

2-0 Villa Bailey and Ings.

The result on Sunday was devastating and it could have a very negative impact on our players. Team will be not take to the field in an confident and arrogant mood. I fear a very bad night.

None of Emi, Mings or Kamara played so at least our spine will be stronger and have a better mentality. Feels like a game where Young will come in and use all his cunning experience to needle some of them and their fanbase.

I don't know. Of course we could easily not get the three points but I would prefer it if we just run into a  keeper masterclass rather than meekly drawing/losing while endlessly feeling sorry for ourselves.

That mentality has to stop if we ever want to do something in the league.

We have to come flying out of the blocks tomorrow with all guns blazing. We've got to break this habit of allowing teams to seize the initiative on our patch. I heard a stat today that we've won 17 out of our last 37 home games. That is just not good enough and needs to change. Starting tomorrow night.

We started this season with 4 wins out of 7. Liverpool defeat can happen against side of that quality but Wolves completely dominating us for about 65 minutes was a tad more concerning.

I don't think Leeds can do that though and they're certainly not as good as the back so if we move the ball quick enough we will get space and chances.

Perhaps we should attack the Holte again first half. Worked well in the Brentford and Man. United games and even Liverpool we had 2-3 good chances in first half hour so that tactic does seem to have the players on it from the start of the game more.

Bailey needs taking out of the firing line, I think.

His confidence is on the floor, and he's a confidence player, not a great combination.

Agree with this unless Emery decides to switch him back to the left where he seems a lot more effective. He doesnt seem to want to do that though, i think it will be interesting if the new lad plays and whether he replaces Digne or plays in front of him.

Pivotal game this, win and the confidence comes back and we set ourselves up nicely for the 2nd half of the season.  Lose and we start to look like we'll be cut adrift and playing for best of the bottom 9 cup.

I don't rate Leeds, they are absolutely the sort of team we should be putting away at home so going with a 2-0. Watkins and Mings (just to piss them off)

Bailey is a really tricky one.

He could have a chance in the first 5 minutes, fluff it and his game is over.

Take it and he'll likely go on to have a barn storming game.

But.... on recent form, he doesn't deserve to start.

Feels like a big game - need to bounce back win and some performances from key players.  Need top half this season

Yep, there looks to be a clear top half/bottom half forming, with us and Palace in the middle. Win and we get more of a toe-hold in the top half, and we'll be 8 points clear of the likes of Leicester and Leeds. Lose, and depending on other results, we could be only 4 points off the bottom three. Just as importantly, our team always seem mentally weak, so lose to Leeds and I think Emery will find it hard to pull them out of the downward spiral. Could we please have a nice straightforward 2-0 win please?

I'd say there were about 20 Villa fans on the flight over from Dublin this morning. Checked into the Crowne Plaza and there's 80 Norwegian Lions staying here. B6 is becoming day tripper central.

Oh and a win would be nice.

We can't lose to these - my intern is a Leeds fan. She is a great kid overall but has one very dark stain when it comes to football supporter.
