Well having slept on it and with a visit to gym, swim and sauna I have reflected on what i said yesterday and now my considered view is just fuck off Emery and the players just fuck off. You lot don't know how much it hurts you overpaid pampered useless twats.

You've gone soft in your old age! ;)

Your problem is going to the gym and swimming. No-one has ever come away happy from either.

A weekend break at Champney's can do that to a man.

Thats what happens when you are pampered with a swim and sauna.

So pissed off and depressed about last nights capitulation, such a half arsed display keeping possession but doing sweet fa with the ball, so many players let us down and there’s a lot of talk re Olsen which I agree with but Ollie Watkins casual stroll out to challenge the guy who scored capped it all off for me, what a shit show.

I'm still a bit confused about the red card. I thought it was only a yellow these days if a penalty was awarded?

Unless he was sent off for the shirt pull (which was outside the box) and the penalty was for the lunge tackle thing?

I felt it should have been a yellow card and a free-kick outside the area for the shirt pull.

I think it was a clear goalscoring opportunity, rather than just a foul.

I feel so sorry for the young Villa fans (some of whom would have been "treated" to a game at Villa Park, which is prohibitively expensive now for so many, possibly for the first time in a while) and will be today suffering the taunts of all and sundry. Some of the youngsters will be thinking they'd rather claim allegiance to one of the self styled big six after that disgraceful performance.

This is so true, there was loads of young kids and proud Dads in the Holte last night, taking photos and videos etc.  I noticed before the game and it really made me smile.  They must be gutted how it turned out.

If the ref allows play on and an idiot eventually scythes him down in the penalty area then its a penalty.
I don't have any problem with that decision, the double jeopardy is wrong though.

If it keeps him away from the first team for three games the ref did us a favour.

Not if the ref deemed it to be a deliberate foul with no genuine attempt at the ball.  Which, given the earlier foul outside the box is a reasonable assumption to make.

I don't think anybody will argue that it wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity. The red depends on whether or not you think it was a genuine attempt to play the ball. Fwiw, I don't. It was the panicky lunge of a desperate man.

Just home from the game.  That game has to go in the Hall of Shame with the others that have been inflicted on us by the team we support. The big difference about that one compared with Doncaster, Wycombe, Port Vale and the rest is that that game was tossed away with an arrogance that had to be seen to be believed.

100% agreed Brian. Arrogance was the word I used whilst watching at 1 0 up.

I thought it wasn't even a 'last man, goal denied' foul either as we had a couple of defenders closing in.

Although, then again, Olsen. It's a fair cop.
