When you know you’re not going to do anything in the league and have the chance to win the only trophy on offer, what do you do? Yes, that’s right, play the reserves and get knocked out asap. What a load of bollocks. You couldn’t make this shit up.

That's where I am, fella.

And me. Especially seeing that Chelsea, Bournemouth, Palace, Newcastle, Everton, Forest and Brentford are all out; with two of Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Wolves or Brighton definites to go out of the 4th round. Seems a massive wasted opportunity.

We're too ponderous.

I demand lightning quick players this window. And ones that have an end product.

I'm a bit tired of players like Bailey

Honestly I can't quite believe this is still the line. Oh they might lose a bit of fluidity, oh he's only the Swedish international goalkeeper, are we serious? We seriously think that fielding that team should look like a risk?

Put it this way. What should be the bigger gap: between our first and second elevens, or between our second eleven and League Two?

As many people have said pre and post match, the starting XI should have been strong enough to see out the game, and indeed had got us to being 1 up with 5 minutes left.

More than enough first teamers on by the end that should have seen it out.

Attitude was the issue, rather than selection.

Well there's plenty of evidence in the last few years to demonstrate that picking a team that has never played together rarely works, even against lower league opposition.

An arrogant performance that came a bit us on the arse. I am sick of watching us play around with the ball along the back line. Whenever the defence start pissing about it fills me with dread and today was a clear example why.

So why does it seem to work for everyone else? Seriously, this is now completely standard and I don't think there's been any increase in upsets overall.

If he played the the team he picks for Leeds on Friday do you think we’d have still lost today

I don't think a Premier League side should have to worry about that against fourth tier opposition.

No, you’re right but don’t forget we’ve been here a million times before so we do worry

The Man Utd selection pissed me off, but this...the team is absolutely, one hundred percent fine. In fact the only one who was a bit of a risk coming in was Sanson, who was the best player!

No, I know we like to make these things as explicable as possible, makes it easier to blame single decisions that we can learn from, but sometimes a black swan just invades your living room and shits on your sandwich. Those players should have been miles, miles, miles too good to lose today.

Yes, and we knew beforehand what the draw was.
Mind you, had we won, we'd just have played a similar line up at Stoke most probably.

If this result and performance does not result in some big changes and big improvements, then the pain and embarrassment of losing, and wasting a massive chance will only be exacerbated.

Yep, the team that started should have won that game.  The fact they didn't was entirely down to a lethargic approach in not trying and finish the tie off and some completely unprofessional and slack moments in the very last minutes of the game.

On the issue of selection though, the goalkeeper has now cost us dearly in both cup competitions.

We've had 11 managers since we last won an FA Cup... Tie. Never mind the fucking trophy.
