Glorious. There's something special about beating Spurs. I mean I hate United, Arsenal, Shitty and Liverpool but at least they've won things in recent memory that almost warrant the arrogance and shit eating grins. Spurs fans are utterly ridiculous. Every year is their year until it isn't. We should be aspiring to push them a lot closer in the near future in terms of finishing positions and I think with Newcastles rise and improvements at Utd and Arsenal, Spurs will be a 5-7th side rather than top 4. Even serial winners Conte and Jose struggle to push them on.

Right first things first.
Robin Olsen. Take a bow. Not challenged as far as big saves but was far more assured and decisive. Marshalled his box well and made some crucial claims. He's taken more shite than any player lately. If he keeps that up, we don't have an issue. IF. But kudos. Great today.

Ashley Young. So much nous. Another good display. The back line frustrated Spurs very well today.

Buendia and McGinn weren't too great BUT... Emi gets a goal and McGinn a telling assist for Douglas.

Kamara is a class act. Excellent again today.
Ollie works his bollocks off. Douglas MOTM.

I do have a concern about Bailey though. Every 5-6 games he looks great but the rest he looks pretty hopeless. I hope he comes good but increasingly, he's looking a player who might be better as an impact player and replacing in the XI. He's one of those frustrating players that can be great but other times he runs 20 yards before realising he hasn't got the ball with him, or he looks incapable of cleanly hitting a ball.

Unai got it bang on. Frustrate them, keep on driving. We got at them in the second half, which is where they're normally better. I think aiming to get our momentum then was a good plan. Well deserved win. We had all the clear chances.

Keep the pressure on the Tatters with any sort of win next time out and the second half of the season has plenty of promise.

Will be easier to sign the players we want if we're 9th/10th in Jan and looking up rather than 15th/16th and trying to convince them they won't be in a relegation battle.

Poor first half. Excellent second. I put it all down to me having my yearly shower at HT and changing in to my Archer 35 shirt. I'm not obsessed. Honest!

The game was poor in the first half but I don't think we were. I think the plan was pretty clearly to make them come on to us and then use the space in behind and we pulled it off perfectly, without them ever really looking like scoring.

I think the new stadium has helped raise their profile to the point where the media now seem to believe that they should be right up there, whether they justify it or not.  They'll always be one of those clubs who just have a cup run once every ten years and do bugger all else.

Their fans, on the other hand, have always been a deluded bunch of twats.
