Matty Cash, player swap with Atletico Madrid?

I like Matty but i'm not sure we'd get an entire football club for him.

As much as I would have liked him to play I think it is right that his first game is a home game. He would have been booed and goaded by the spurs fans and any mistake could crush his confidence. Let him come out to a heroes welcome at VP

That is a very poor decision re: the goalkeeper.
I know Emery is the boss, but this looks like an effort to prove it.

Seemed pretty clear to me in Unai’s pre match interview why Olsen should start. He basically said Olsen now knows what is expected of a goalkeeper in his team whereas Emi has not been trained into the new role yet

The world cup winning keeper is not qualified to play for Emery?

That’s not what I said.  You know how Emery likes detailed patterns of play and Olsen has been party to those sessions whereas Martinez will not have a clue on things like our plan to beat a press - yet….

Emi's distribution is equally as shit as Olsens

I'd put a tenner on Olsen giving the ball away trying to beat the press and them scoring from it

I can’t disagree with that! I was just trying to put reason on why he has selected him 😂

What about Dendoncker, I like him
I like you but I would not want you playing at Spurs today.

If Olsen concedes his usual 3+ goals then there's no planet where it's the right decision.

Lets see
Olsen does not inspire and I can not see that Martinez would let us down

I confidently predict that calls for Olsen to be hooked during the game will be posted in this thread and very early in the game.

Not feeling confident today, going 2 nil Spurs, if we do manage to scrape a win, we still won't move up the table.

I would’ve started Ings today.  Not sure what he’s done wrong lately.

Crush Martinez’s confidence? Are you having a laugh?

What a load of bollocks.

It certainly is. Emi has previously flown back from South America arriving two days before a game and played.

To be fair Hookey has a point.  Martinez would be distraction to our routine win today

I appreciate you just relayed your understanding of what you heard. The implications of that is what worries me.
