Cigarette cards and jigsaws now gone. Just the books left.

Lee, that Ron Saunders Scrapbook must be worth a few quid. I think it was Chico on here once mentioned how much it was selling for on ebay. Rare as hens teeth.

Blimey! Nearly £20. Much better condition, though.

I'll try to sort them this weekend and let you know.
Presumably, all written by a certain Fanzine Editor?

All gone bar the Saunders Scrapbook and the two Derrick Spinks books. Listed them on eBay and FB Marketplace.

Does anyone know why so many of the Scrapbook photos are from the Arsenal '81 match?

Reading my way through Guillem’s book. I haven’t got to the Villa chapters yet but surprised to see how much tension there was between Unai and Monchi at Sevilla.’

They're passionate Iberians, it's the way. Roughly what percentage of the book is pre-Villa?

Haven’t got it with me but I reckon about half. Theres a lot of detail. Although interesting to see mentions of Olabe.

Monchi seems to have been Unai’s boss and superior at Sevilla and there was a lot of disagreement including Unai leaving. It doesn’t come across as a warm relationship unlike Vidagany and Olabe.

Is it because they didn't have to pay for the rights because Terry Weir was a club employee?

This is what Terry said so it's the truth. He always travelled on the team coach but after we lost to Cambridge in the League Cup Saunders insisted it left without him, which caused a few problems midweek. Terry was told he wasn't welcome again (he never did know why) but before the Highbury trip he was allowed back and Saunders told him to take all the photos he wanted.

On the way back Saunders asked Terry for the film, then lo and behold, a few months later the book came out.

I've just dug my copy out. Apart from Terry Weir the only other picture credits are someone called Harry Ormesher and the Birmingham Post and Mail. That story about Terry being banned from the team coach is interesting and something I'd not heard before.
