Ollie is much more effective as a support forward playing off a main striker. Ings is by far the better option up front with the right supply line

He's a nice lad and works hard, but he's a perfect example of the sort of player we need to improve upon

As our main forward we are guaranteed to never progress. Hard working, honest, all those positive adjectives. But he lacks the required quality to be a top footballer.

We either play to his strengths or don't play him at all.

I am not sure how we're meant to play in a way that makes that problem go away. Unless we just don't expect him to score at all, in which case, fine.

Yup. I see him as one in five striker, he needs 5 attempts a game to score where a quality attacker would bury the lot.
