That ref was pretty awful.

Indeed. It is particularly satisfying that despite the ref being wank, VAR being mostly wank, and them being wankers, we were too good for any of that to affect the result.

Ratings, Martinez 8, Cash 7, Konsa 7, Mings 8, Digne 7, Luiz 8, Dendoncker 7, Bailey 7, Watkins 8, Ramsey 9, Buendia 7. Subs with exception of Ings all made good contributions. Was delighted to see Sanson back involved.

Great win, brilliant start and tactically Emery owned  EtH. Lots of finger pointing going on between Shaw and the bench as to who was meant to pick up Ramsey. Ropey spell before half time, with a fluky goal conceded which was coming I thought. But to blow them out of it very quickly in the second half was very satisfying.

Lots of these players have had false dawns before so the challenge is consistency now.

I'll be honest, I quite enjoyed that.

Ratings:

Every Villa player, member of the coaching staff, ballboys/girls, everyone who has ever worked for Villa: 10/10.

Every Man United player including the referee: 0/10.

GET IT RIGHT FUCKING UP YOU.

ESPECIALLY YOU, RONALDO.

(I'm pretty sure he reads my posts)

A fantastic interview from the fantastic Emery.
And congratulations to everyone who came out to support Unai at the game and made him feel at ease!
Well done, and it must have been incredible to witness the game and the moment.

I missed the game due to a family wedding. We were sharing a table with extended family red scums. Fathers and sons all brummie born and bred but red ******. So near the end I sat there just nonchalant and they kept saying oh you must be delighted, why aren't you looking happy? To which I replied it's a  home win, I expect Villa to win all our home matches. This intensely annoyed them as they were expecting me to celebrate like a 10 year old who's just found a tub of swizzels.
I have hated them all my life and today was immensely satisfying. Thank you Unai.

Tactics. A game plan. In-game management. Fluidity to the system. Amazing.

Their fans, who mostly seem to be from Africa on various social media platforms, are ripping into Ten Hag and Ronaldo. It’s a joy to read.

It’s just great to be able to celebrate a win over those w*****s and not have to endure them running on to the pitch and setting off flares with impunity.

Absolutely. It'll be a sad walk home for them.

Then Sanson and Kamara pointing at him and laughing after.

How pathetic are thier support. Give it the large one when it suits, then leaves in droves when clearly they are not going to win or have officials cave in for them.

Still it is a long way to the south coast on a Sunday.

Eamonn Holmes, Brummie Reds, Angus Deyton, Jim White, Olly Murs, Zoe Ball, Mick Hucknall. Booby Charlton, can you hear me? Booby Charlton ... your boys took a hell of a beating! Your boys took a hell of a beating!

To which I'd add James Nesbitt, Terry Christian, Simon Le Bon. Russell Watson, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kim Jong-un and Angela Rayner.

Sweet to beat those f*ckers after so many sickening defeats and nice symmetry that it was 3-1. Hopefully that's this particular hoodoo done and dusted.
