I remember reading that Gerrard and co were supposed to be to these fitness-nutters with a crazy training regime to reduce professional footballers to tears. Hahaha!

I hope Ayasterán sorts them out.

I particularly applaud the á in Ayasterán's surname.

Have we ever had a member of the management team with an á in their surname before?

Yes he's the one William Balagué teased everyone with as the winner of the European Champions League.
Pako was a winning coach at Liverpool.

I noticed many seemed to be guessing former Champions League winning players well that wasn't the case as it turns out.

Grĺhăm Táylör
Gérard Houllier and his goal keeper coach Rafael González
Rémi Garde with Réginald Ray.

Kevin Bond and Steve Clarke holidaying France and Spain respectively but that doesn't count.

Pako will lead the team at home against West Ham. He has not received the recognition he deserves not just on here but in general so it's a good opportunity to bring him to the forefront of discussion leading up to Sunday's match and thereafter.

Pako provides valuable input and is more than just an assistant to Unai. Emery is suspended after Kavanagh deemed it an act of petulance for kicking the ball away, and will not be on the touchline on Sunday.

Hmmm, Emery will just be in the stands sending messages down to the touchline to be relayed. I doubt Pako will be doing any "leading" as such. The only time in theory an assistant leads is if the main man is unavailable due to health concerns.
