Bloody hell, talk about a complex character. What a mess he’s left.

Give it a watch, it’s insane how he lived his life.

Just watching it now.

I remember a few years back his Mum (I think) saying the whole crash was a hoax.

Thought it would be all about that but in fairness they're covering his rise from East London to playing for us.

It’s nothing new, was reported ages ago that when he moved to Iran he met/married a second woman over there.

I think the story is he had a bit of a gambling problem which started with us. He went to Bolton where things went OK, but got an injury and a couple of loan signings to the likes of Cardiff didn't work out. The only place he could get a contract was Iran, who offered him £4K a week. While out there, he met an Iranian woman who he married (allowed under their laws.)  Moved back to be with his existing wife and kids, and hit somebody head on while driving twice over the drink driver limit. Very sad all round, especially for his three kids who have lost their dad.

Very sad, I always liked him. Remember having a row with someone slagging him off in the Trinity (!), some cup game at home

He was great in the 2nd leg of the cup semi with Bolton after Okocha had taken the piss in the first leg.

I won a competition in the Sports Argus to attend the end of season player awards in the Holte Suite mid 2000's. The rest of the table were competition winners as well , our player was Jlloyd and his partner. She told my wife the story that he told her, he was an Estate Agent before admitting he was a football player. He came across a very shy character ( although the programme would suggest otherwise) , she was very confident and engaged more with all us strangers far better than Jlloyd. He rang my son up though when I gave him my mobile and made his night.
It's quite a sad and unbelievable chain of events , you really couldn't make it up. RIP Jlloyd

She said the same Estate agent story in the programme.

Very sad all round what happened.

One of his sons is now a player in the Man City youth team.

I can't help think of his appearance on MTV Cribs where he was revealed to have a gigantic trainer collection, but also to be known as 'sweet boy'.
