I doubt Man U will be playing their full team this evening.

Seems like they are. Maguire up front!

They got a fair run around at times tonight. Sociedad had a little dynamo in midfield who completely outplayed their big names. Only for they had donkeys like that Palace flop Sorloth up front, they surely would have been beaten. Rashford and Fred will probably come back in for Sunday.

Obviously we play anything like at Fulham or Newcastle and we will be humiliated again but if there is anything about us we should be getting a result.

We have had a tendency to raise our performances against the better teams, so here's hoping that coupled with the new manager bounce might see us win.

Good test first up for Unai.  Hope we can see a difference with the pressing and Man United give slabhead the ball a lot!

When did we last beat them at home?

In the league, August 1995.
I remember a great 3-2 win back in 1977?? With a fabulous Andy Gray winner and another 3-0 under SGT in1989, great games

When Coutinho levelled last season for 2-2 , the away end half emptied. From the very same wankers that like to sing part time supporters to every else.

Here we go again.
The match I detest the most every season. I hate their cunting fants, their cunting team and their cunting club.
I hate the fact we can’t beat them, the way they cheat and scam us and every cunting referee that has taken charge of this game for 20 years.

I hate us losing to anyone, but losing to these just cuts deeper than any other loss.

The ONLY way I am going to get over this hate is for us to finally beat the bastards.

PLEASE VILLA….JUST WIN.

I always thought it was just me...but i agree with this 100%

I cannot remember a game without some controvesy  - and never in our favour

Can’t say I’ve watched them much this season but they seem to be getting a lot of 1-0 wins, which suggests Ten Hag has focused on tightening them up rather than going for wins.  I’m looking forward to seeing what Unai will do.  Will he also keep it tight or will he press them like Brentford did earlier in the season?

If we can start anywhere near like we did against Brentford, and the crowd are up for it early, with a shit referring decision to get our backs up, it could get really interesting.

I'm not expecting to get anything from it though, because we never fucking do. I've never seen us beat them at home.

The 77 game, was that the one Andy was fined at for giving them the V sign at the Witton End
He claimed to be showing them he had scored 2

What an utterly embarrassing fact that they’re unbeaten in 23 PL games at Villa Park.

Train strikes for tomorrow and Monday cancelled, which means services should work ok on Sunday.
