It's ludicrous.

Anyway, I'm just interested in Unai's team selection. Genuinely no idea what he's going to do.

If I was the club I would be questioning this immediately, if only to make the point pre match rather than post where we may be accused of sour grapes.

The problem now is that the slightest 50/50 that goes in their favour will see the fans in uproar, unnecessarily so.

I'm more inclined to back the officials given the abuse they get, particularly down the pyramid and at grass roots but at the top of the game they don;t help themselves so fuck them, I'll be on his back from the first minute.

Match officials in full:

Referee: Anthony Taylor.

Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn.

Fourth official: Craig Pawson.

VAR: Peter Bankes.

Assistant VAR: Scott Ledger.

All wankers.

So the ref will be from the Cotton Village. That is outrageous.

Andre Marriner is self confessed Villa fan, and thus doesn't do our games. Maybe he should have just bulshitted that he's a Solihull Moors fan.

This is the biggest game in football for me, my dad and uncle would talk about the 1957 cup win whenever they were together and then beating them in the LC semi final brought a tear or two to my dads eye. I think new manager bounce (for real this time) and our backing will get us a win. Archer must start for me though, it’s surely his time now.

Beating these twats would be the best "new manager bounce" ever.

I dislike them more than our local rivals, to be honest; not only for the gloryhunter tag, not only because their fans seem - over the years - to have flouted all the boundaries (setting fire to Carrow Road, obligatory pitch invasions when scoring at VP; to name 2), not only for their flagrant self-entitlement, not only for Fergie-time ....
... all of that, and in my formative years I frequently encountered the self-styled Elmdon Reds - all w*****s to a man.

Having said all that, I suppose if I still lived in the Brum area I'd have a deeper loathing of the Bitters and the Inbred than I do: I am simply dismissive of them now.

Beating these twats twice in a week would be the best "new manager bounce" ever.

Fixed.

Smashing these twats into oblivion twice in a week would be the best "new manager bounce" ever.

Fixed.

I'm going to be controversial here, but in recent years their struggles seem to have made their fans almost normal. I've sensed a bit humility in them for the first time.
Was up there for the win last year in the league in corporate and everyone was sound with us, before and after the game.

I'm sure you experienced only a temporary shift in their behaviour, Lee!

Apart from Roy Keane who glared at you throughout your consumption of prawn sandwiches (king-sized with garlic, chili and lime no doubt).

Very interesting first selection. No idea how popular Martinez or Chambers were under him at Arsenal (not very I'd assume). Can't imagine he will switch to 433, or bring in a Sanson or Nakamba from the cold for the first game. Ramsey definitely to come in and perhaps McGinn for Bailey (but not as captain).

Eriksen and Fernandes playing very well from what I've seen. Shaw and Maguire starting should be a positive for us. 0-0.

---------------Martinez
Young, Chambers, Mings, Digne
----------Luiz, Dendoncker
McGinn , Buendia, Ramsey
--------------Watkins

Cuntyest club, cuntyest players and cuntyest fans (this in particular) over the course of the last 40 years. Probably longer i'm sure.
