Handbrake off, 442, no McGinn, loads of energy. Keep it up

Looks more like 4-2-3-1

I think most knew this squad was full of talent, now we're finally getting to see it. Excellent half. Crisp passing, movement, pressing, it's a delight to watch.

Watkins does like he’s playing wide right of the 3

I don't think it was just Gerrard's selections and tactics that were the problem.

That team wasn't playing for him.

100% I said exactly that after that Fulham match

I hope that was our bad half.

Watkins is playing wide right and it has taken much of the pressure and focus off him. He’s linked the play really well. Ings is a natural finisher and he’s run the middle really well. I expect Cam to come on for Ings in the second half. Coutinho for Bailey or Buendia. Same shape and system.

Interesting stat - this is the first time Bailey, Buendia & Ings have all started together since they joined.

Just noticed you said it two posts before me, too!  I can't keep up!

It is and it’s what lots have said would work with this squad. There’s various players who can come in and out of that system.

Couple of changes for them. We need to adapt quickly if they get on top

It'll be interesting if one of Luiz or Dendoncker has to go off. By rights, Nakamba should come on at that point.

The Brentford kit reminds me of Bozzie's old Asics keeper jersey.

That's surprising, clearly working so far.
