Had no idea where to post this, so its got its own thread...

I found myself lured into attempting this Aston Villa Obscure 1990s Players quiz on GiveMeSport...

...but question 5... isn't that Shaun Teale..?!?!




(I'm sure, in terms of getting a maximum quiz score, the "correct" answer is going to be Derek Mountfield entirely based on moustaches!)

It's 100% Teale and the shirt is his era not Mountfield's.

I agree, that's Shaun Teale any day of the week.

That kit is from the 92/93 season - Derek Mountfield left the club in 1991, King joined in summer '94, Stuart Brock in '95 and he was a goalkeeper (had to google him).  David Farrell would've been playing then, albeit not very often and AFAIK didn't ever have a moustache.

Got all of them, including the one that was obviously wrong! Not sure the European Championship winner and England and Germany internationals were really that "obscure", but still.

I'm guessing the "right" wrong answer was Mountfield?

I know they are just "names", but three white players named with a picture of a black player somehow felt wrong.

Edit: I got my Germans, Poles and Italians mixed up though so......

Next time maybe they will put a photo of 3 black players and 1 white player.

Or maybe they thought "they all look the same so lets give people a chance by naming three white players and one black player so they will more likely get the black player if they know the others are white."

I matched the person who created the quiz with one wrong. They got no 5 wrong, i got no 10 wrong.

In the incorrect question 5 one of the choices was Stuart Brock, who never played a first team game for us, he did however go onto to make more than 150 appearances for the Harriers.

I'd never heard of him before so the quiz was at least useful in that respect. I would have liked to have seen Andrew Greaves as one of the options.
