What a bizarre little segue this is, Bailey clearly has plenty of pace, he's not using it as well as he should for us, and we don't play in a way to encourage him to but that doesn't stop it being a very basic fact.

Niggly game but I think we have had the better chances.  Ramsey playing well, as is Luiz.  Wish Bailey was a bit more consistent though. At least we are going toe to toe with them.

AGAIN Bailey has nobody to pass to. Our central midfielders are fucking brain dead.
Isn't this the bit where he uses his "pace" ?

Are you still trying to claim that Bailey doesn't have pace? What a weird thing to pretend.
Oh here comes the Bailey fanboys

You don't have to be a Bailey fanboy to think he has pace, you just need functioning eyes.
You need a Specsavers home visit then

There are plenty of things to criticise Bailey for today. There is no point in making up a lack of pace. It's like singling out John McGinn for not having a big enough arse.

This is like waiting all week for a pint only to be served a warm, flat pint of Carling.

I really really really wish he'd start going with 4231 cos once again this system isn't working. It hasn't been working for donkeys and yet still the same shit every single fucking week

That was OK really but nothing more.

Two things that drive me mad are the pointless long punts and the terrible lack of width when we find ourselves in really good positions.

There is no doubt we are the better team, just look at the stats.  I am really hoping Gerrard has gone back to basics and not think he can win every game

Scrappy game but don’t feel like we’re in any danger.

Just in, checks the match thread. Like the game itself, appears to be getting tetchy.

We’ve made it a scrap, which is ok given we’ve been a soft touch until recently.
