What I normally do is highlight the text I want to use as the link. Then hit the "insert hyperlink" button to put the url links either side of it, then within the first [ url] box, I add the = symbol and paste the website link. Minimal typing then (only the = button).

How can I find out why I can't send or reply to PM's to or from other members?

All was fine until I exchanged a couple of (very cordial) messages with someone 2 weeks ago.

Now the system won't allow me to send to their name and just about everybody else's!

(I have tried asking this question via the 'Contact' heading but no response.)

Thanks,
Tim

Not sure how many PM's you have but there is a limit to the amount I believe. I know it can stop you receiving any, not sure about sending though. If you have a fair few in your inbox, delete a batch and see.

Hi Moderators,

Hope this is the right place to ask. Lurked around on H&V for many years, ‘long time listener, first time caller.’

I’m a writer/director crowdfunding for a dark comedy short film called Deadheading and wondered, as there is a huge villa connection by way of Dennis Mortimer, whether it would be okay to post about it on here?

Synopsis: An elderly woman will stop at nothing to fulfil her dying husband’s lifelong dream of an allotment garden, even if it means murder.

One of the people getting bunked off by the elderly woman is none other than our captain of 82’, who has agreed to appear as a cameo as part of a list of local legends, in exchange for a donation to Cancer Research.

Here is the link, should you wish to vet before deciding: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deadheading/deadheading-a-dark-comedy-short-film

Many thanks!

Is it possible to block threads so you just don't see them?
