The first of two pivotal games for the Manager and if the result of this one is a loss then it's all on the Soton game.

The glimpses of tactical nuance and togetherness witnessed at the weekend need to prevail, I have to confess that although I thoroughly enjoyed the game I fear it will be an exception but we surely have enough to prove naysayers like me wrong and get a win? Time for positivity.

0-1

Theres nothing anywhere about Rodgers being sacked?
Need a win, id probably take a draw.
There a wounded animal and hard to imagine they’ll just keep on losing.

Id be tempted to bring Dendonker in for McGinn or start with the team after McGinn got taken off on Saturday.

2-1 (Watkins, Coutinhio)

                     Martinez

Young.         Konsa.  Mings.    Digne

                  Kamara.  Dendonker

                Luiz.           Ramsey

                Bailey.         Watkins

This for as well - must be close to McGinn being benched and why buy Dendonker and not play him

Saturday 10th September, kick off 3pm.

Big one lads.

I think it will be much tougher than many are assuming.

Leicester are really up against it and they still have some excellent players.

Any win will do.

FTF.

I’m not sure who’s assuming this will be straightforward. I think it’ll be very tough.

Bournemouth Lions first mini bus off the season to an away  game. Much more confident after Saturday. The three previous aways have been nothing short of horrendous. A good day out spoilt by 90 mins of football. Hopefully a good performance and result. I'm assuming Gerrard will stick with the extra body in midfield which we so desperately need.

Considering Leicester have been regularly in Europe recently, won the FA Cup and PL in recent years and have a track record of selling their best players for big money, their financial situation doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully not another Pompey like situation developing there.

In saying that, Rodgers antics in recent weeks have been disgraceful. Pretty much begging to be sacked but of course won't walk away. Coach and players have downed tools, though look at his bench and there are plenty of his expensive dud signings like Vestergaard on it while he whinges about his problems at CB....

Anyway onto the game, McGinn I think will be dropped and Young will retain the RB slot. Key for me is whether we switch to 4231 and keep Ramsey further up the pitch or stay with 433 with likely Dendoncker replacing McGinn. If we weren't so low in the table this would be a game to play a very attacking lineup with full backs pushing on. But I'd say we will sit in again and try hit Leicester on the counter. A really nervy tight game in store with maybe a late Villa winner.

They are bottom and need a win. 'Cue' the Aston Villa Football Welfare XI with 3 points.

I would say there's more chance of Steve Hodge coming back.

I wasn't expecting anything positive out of the Man City game and came away happy.
I'm now expecting a good team selection, good performance, and a good result.
Leicester looking for their first win, we all know what happens next.
It is the hope that hurts the most.

Oh good, the ref for the Leicester game is the clown on VAR for the West Ham debacle that happened this weekend just gone.

Referee: Jarred Gillett. Assistants: Simon Long, Richard West. Fourth official: Peter Bankes. VAR: Mike Dean. Assistant VAR: Mark Scholes.

Fuck - Rodgers has been tin-tacked - queue the Leicester bounce back this Saturday!

Has he?

No. DC Comics is talking balls.
