Probably an unpopular opinion but if defeat is inevitable then a plucky narrow defeat would not particularly help with our ˋGerrard Out´ campaign.

Abject defeat, whilst unpalatable, is probably the best outcome.

I'm going to the Taylor Hawkins memorial concert at Wembley tomorrow so won't be going. It doesn't sit right with me missing a match but if I'm going to miss one this season then this is definitely the one to miss.

Of course it is but only if you adopt the stance that defeat isn’t inevitable. Can’t quite make that leap personally.

The last thing any Villa fan should want is a heavy defeat. I can't believe you've even suggested it as a good idea.

Must admit after Wednesday night I was really considering missing this one. The thought of getting hammered is not very appealing. I was hoping Gerrard would be gone by now but it seems he will get at least another game. Hopefully feel more up for it by the time the game starts. Hate feeling so pissed off with my own football club.

Oh and 0-4 in a another turgid display of tactical stupidity. Not quite bad enough to push him out of the door, that will have to wait a week and defeat to a managerless Leicester.
