Probably an unpopular opinion but if defeat is inevitable then a plucky narrow defeat would not particularly help with our ˋGerrard Out´ campaign.

Abject defeat, whilst unpalatable, is probably the best outcome.

I'm going to the Taylor Hawkins memorial concert at Wembley tomorrow so won't be going. It doesn't sit right with me missing a match but if I'm going to miss one this season then this is definitely the one to miss.

Actually I’m looking forward to it. Totally relaxed with the potential of having historical significance. It’s what supporting Villa is all about.

I'd have said winning was the best outcome, but whatevz.

Of course it is but only if you adopt the stance that defeat isn’t inevitable. Can’t quite make that leap personally.

Looks like both our late signings could be doubtful for tomorrow’s match. So, what’s new. I think our new badge should include the words..AVFC rest home for the injured.

My Man City contacts tell me their players are really psyched up for this and will probably win.

I better amend my betting slip.

The last thing any Villa fan should want is a heavy defeat. I can't believe you've even suggested it as a good idea.

Must admit after Wednesday night I was really considering missing this one. The thought of getting hammered is not very appealing. I was hoping Gerrard would be gone by now but it seems he will get at least another game. Hopefully feel more up for it by the time the game starts. Hate feeling so pissed off with my own football club.

The thought of getting hammered is really appealing. Just not on the pitch.

Why do the words "cannon fodder" keep coming into my head whenever I think about this game?

4 bottles of assorted ales left over from my fathers day gift box to get me through the game.  I might  make it to half time if it goes as feared.

Oh and 0-4 in a another turgid display of tactical stupidity. Not quite bad enough to push him out of the door, that will have to wait a week and defeat to a managerless Leicester.
