This is starting to have the feel of 86-87 about it.  I remember being all excited at bringing Paul Elliott in and we had the first version of Keown, together with Bruno up front.  Only for it to be a complete and utter disaster with the occasional surprise 3-3 at home to Manure thrown in.

I would be worried now if Archer was selected by Gerrard.  Would potentially be another striker ruined by the Villa.
