At least this should guarantee that Gerrard comes over after the game to salute the fans, even if we get hammered.
why? - that's even if he's still at Villa.

74 seats left.

7,500 for an away Carabou Cup match in midweek November, against a side that normally brushes us aside, with the match live on tv is extremely impressive.

For comparison, and because I'm childish, last two Birmingham City HOME attendances in the competition...

4,783
6,199

And that's including away fans.

Not a relevant comparison. If they had a match at OT or Anfield or Villa park  about 10,000 will be there if allowed.

We had 11k v Boro in 2018 LC and we'd only been down there 2 seasons.

So our worst crowd in decades was pretty much the same as two of theirs combined...

Add another 10 years of being shit like they've had and then lets imagine what our crowds would have been like.

Relative to what we usually do, we've been shit for 12 years, yet we're fantastically well supported. There's no equivocation with us and them, at all.

When we went down in the dark days of the 80's our average went up by a few hundred, to about 18,500. They were in the same division averaging 8,500, and they'd only gone down a year before us.
