Unlucky by McGinn, scintillating free kick. Must have taken a little deflection.

Was he kicking a ‘Fly-away’ ball?

Whilst wearing Charlie Brown caricature slippers.

I think Gerrard needs to relieve McGinn of the captaincy so that he can focus on his game.

Much better second half performance so far. Watkins has gone off just now but I think he has started the season reasonably well.

I know it’s only one game but Santos looks useful

Wouldnt argue with you there BE. But you should maybe give him a little bit more time.

I think Gerrard needs to relieve McGinn of his hip flask so that he can focus on his game.

Persisting with McGinn will be the undoing of Gerrard. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Out of form West Ham will destroy this side on Sunday.

He’s really dig himself a hole hasn’t he. Mings obviously captain material, and our best defender. McGinn not worth a spot in the starting xi.

What has happened to McGinn? I’m convinced he can play at this level but he looks a shadow of the player he was 2 seasons ago.

What was that thing between LB and Watkins when they subbed?

I absolutely agree with this, it seems to be Gerrard's selected hill to die on.

This is still shite.
How on earth is McGinn still on the pitch.

This reminds me of the houllier era somehow.  A bunch of reasonably good players just about trying.  Let’s not forget it’s Bolton.  Maybe they’ll start playing when McAllister takes over again.
