3pm. Sat 20th August at Selhurst Park.

Let's get predicting! 1-3 to the mighty Villa. Palace might have got a point at Liverpool but we will funeral them.

Always looking for a win but, if we manage to get a draw then so be it.

Buendia starts = win. He doesn't = not win

He'll start.

1-2.

Whens the last time we beat these away two seasons in a row? Serious question if anyone knows?

They’ll be in a high after drawing up at Anfield, but they’ll be expected to play a different game against us and attack more. Could be a trick afternoon and i’d take a draw, which wouldn’t be a bad result.

Head says 1-1 (Ings).

Heart says 2-1 (Ings, Watkins).

Think it might be same team as last Saturday other than Chambers for Carlos and Beundia for Coutinhio

I'd play:

Martinez

Cash
Chambers
Mings
Digne

Kamara
Luiz

Ramsey
McGinn
Buendia

Watkins

I don't think we can afford to play Ings away from home as he isn't mobile enough. I'd tell JJ, SJM and Emi to buzz around - don't give them a second on the ball - and have Doug and Bouba to mop up anything they miss. We can't sit back, we have to win the ball back early and drive forward at pace. If we dominate the midfield, we'll win. Watkins just plays on the shoulder of their last man and looks to run in behind. Then we have Coutinho, Ings, Bailey and Archer to come on in the second half if we're chasing the game. Which we won't be, because this team will smash them.

Never. We've won there something like 4 times in over 20 visits.
Conversely, they've won at VP 3 times.

And if anyone wants to feel old, it's nearly 8 years since we won there with that Benteke goal.

We need Boubs to do a job on Eze, Cash to knobble Zaha and Ollie to harass Anderson

1-0 to Villa, Emi2 to start and score.

Yes, but that wasn't the game Benteke scored in. Should probably have said 8 years ago rather than 8 years since.

Buendia needs to start.
This game will be won or lost by how well the midfield performs. With McGinn and Ramsey in there I don't think we'll have quite enough. Frustratingly a Villa loss for me.

The Benteke derby. Hope the big man is back from America to attend and give thanks.

How quickly Jordan Ayew has been forgotten by the fickle sugarbags!
