Great evening so far, and Lawrence Okoye’s just got the first ever GB discus medal!

The crowds for the gymnastics aren’t great are they? Can’t help but feel Birmingham would have made a better job of it somehow.

I’ve thought so as well, although sometimes there’s another stand absolutely packed just out of shot; not sure who’s supposed to be in the empty seats, but it’s unfortunate when they’re right at the finish line.

Okoye's discus bronze and Hughes 200m gold were good watches. Muir did the business again.

Superb gymnastics team medal today.
Unbelievable that Joe Fraser had his appendix out 5/6 weeks ago, given his achievements since then.

I hadn’t heard before now, but it seems that the pot plants given out at the medal ceremonies all have a specific destination to be planted out around the Games grounds, which is such a lovely and practically green idea. Well done, Munich.

Well done Keely, delighted for her after missing out in the World Championships and at Birmingham.

Enjoyed the gymnastics today. Charlie Dobson looks a talent. Hudson-Smith a great captain and very supportive of that 400m squad.
Easy for Keeley in the end
Albanian lady very emotional for Albania's gold in the 3000m steeplechase.

I wasn't expecting a medal in the women's steeplechase. Lizzie Bird just about summoned the energy to get a fantastic bronze. Really looking forward to the last day tomorrow with lots of medal chances in the gymnastics and athletics.

Some brilliant results this afternoon in men’s individual gymnastics and we have 2 champions; Joe Fraser got the parallel bars and Jake Jarman subbed in for a pal and got the vaulting gold! Giarnni Regini Moran and Courtney Tulloch got bronzes and James Hall came fourth ( oooh, so close) in the high bar.

Just saw Jake Wightman get his silver for the 800, there’s a lot to cheer!

Haso, running for Ireland as an asylum seeker and being able to show how talented he is, is a great example of a positive official response to someone who needed help and got it.

I was going to say, the Irish Moh Farah, except he’s not lived in Ireland for as long as MF lived in England before breaking through in sport.
