Just got the text message telling me to tap my season card on top of the ticket reader today rather than insert it like last season.
That prompted me to actually go back to the season ticket letter and read it! Turns out the ticket readers have been upgraded in preparation for mobile ticketing which I assume will kick in from next season.
There are obviously environmental benefits from going digital and cost savings for the club but it's going to completely scupper people sharing season tickets or letting other people use theirs when they can't make games.
Which, to put it mildly, is a bit of a pain in the arse!
