So we have finished a fascinating tour of Australia - I'm not too sure about what Gerrard will be able to take from the games. Bailey was the stand out performer with Mings being thrown under the bus again by a number of fans, even though the likes of JJ and Coutinho were also disappointing. I just hope SG does not develop an obsession over Coutinho when we have another good option in Buendia.
The Leeds game we showed better than the Yorkshire rivals but showed up the one glaring deficiency a 20 goal a season target man. This is one of the reasons I was disappointed that Archer didn't get more minutes.
The Townsville match good kick about but nothing more.
Manure - Pitch was flooded so can kind of understand mistakes at the back and it appeared for sometime that both teams had made a gentleman's agreement not to bash each other too severely.
All in all though a worthwhile jaunt and great for our Aussie Villa fans to see us in the flesh. Loved the story covering Aston in Townsville. Just shows how much we take the Villa for granted
