Oooh Watkins close after superb work by Bailey winning the ball back. Probably should have done better

Should have passed it, two players free either side.

I'd have been happy if he'd just managed to get it on target.

I want to see Bailey make that right wing position his own. Put Coutinho on the left with Buendia in behind.

You’re getting a little carried away now.

Who’s this new player we have? Bailey I think his name is?

Change to the more familiar Gerrard system with a bit of extra pace on the break has worked wonders.

MUCH better this half - Team looks a lot more threatening and better balanced. I like Mings but I think his place is under threat in that backline - Diego Carlos looks way better on his natural side.

Impressed with Bailey so far too - Hopefully, he can become the player we thought we were signing last season.

I do not want to see two up front again. This looks so much better

In fairness, I think most reasonable takes on Bailey were that last season was just lost for him cause of the injuries. Very excited to see him get a proper run this year, and I really hope he can stay clear of bad luck.
