I’m all excited for the match, both sides unbeaten in pre-season and they should give our defence a sterner test than we’ve had so far. Should also be a bit more opportunity for our creative players to show what they do.

I  think its great how our Aussie based fans have embraced the Villa on tour.  Shows how much we take the match for granted.  Not bothered one way or the other about the result tomorrow as long as they have a good work out.  Hope the likes of Goughie, Jon and Hatch have had the time of their lives out there.

Scousers are generally the most knowledgeable football fans you can ever meet to the point they become boring bastards. They live for football. I don't.  I love the Villa the rest is bollox.

That's my opinion too. I must be in the minority cos I find most of them to be sound and easy to discuss football with.

After his football career ended, Beauchamp became a professional gambler before finding work as a bookmaker. He battled with alcoholism and was convicted of drink-driving in 2009. He suffered from depression for which he sought help from the charity Sporting Chance. In 2010, Beauchamp said that his battle with drink and depression had made him consider suicide. In July 2022, following his death, a bar at Oxford Stadium was opened in honour of the footballer.
