Game is Wednesday - 5.45am my time, so 10.45am in the UK. Expecting quite a few changes and a number of the kids to be involved. Hoping Cam leads the line and we get to see Tim and a few others get a good run out. Also Emi in goal and Bert on the wing. Will be interest to gauge Konsa’s fitness and sharpness in his first game back. And maybe even a debut for our Ludwig.

Edited to correct date of game.

It’s going to be minus 1 in Melbourne overnight. I never signed up for this. I could have stayed in Brum if I wanted to freeze. Thank funk we have one of the few houses in Australia with double glazing.

My niece (originally from Bolton) is over from Sydney at the moment. She's always moaning about the build quality of Aussie houses. Absolute shite is how she describes it, and freezing in the winter.

Few southern hemisphere housing is designed for Winter
Winter happens and despite global warming, June July and to an extent August can be F*****g cold, warmer in the sun outside than in the house.
Good incentive to be out and about

I just assumed all the stuff about temperatures in the 40's was in Rees-Mogg approved brexity fahrenheit.

So if we draw or better, we’ve won this Queensland Champions Cup? Is it one bought off Amazon and will we have to give it back next year?

I’m haven’t been this excited since the Peace Cup.

Bit of a shame that the game is on when I'm in the office. Have we ever played an Australian team before?

Tend to like Brisbane teams (in Aussie Rules and Rugby League), as theg always seem to play in claret and blue.
