I'm struggling to find any connection to either Steven Gerrard or Liverpool. We were assured that Delaney was being moved on to be replaced by a mate of Gerrard's, so surely it can't be right that they've given the job to a well-qualified coach from Blackburn?

Anyway, welcome Tony! Don't know anything about him, maybe 'Rotterdam' can give an insight into whether he is highly regarded. Looked on a Blackburn forum for reaction and all I could find was this gem.

Villa's youth, is a step down from Rovers youth. The fact that they have a first team in the premier league, means nothing to the youth set-up.

Hopefully he does better than his vehicular-Villan "brother" Karsa who scrapped and punched his way out of the Villa.

Jesus, the Twenty Tens (What the fcuk was the agreed name for last decade? No one's had the decency to coin it) was an awful time to follow the Villa. Paul "inspirational" Lambert...made his dour fellow Scot David Moyesy look fun and engaging. We must have lost so many Brummie kids as fans in those years. I actually don't really resent Grealish for being a secret ManUre fan all along if that's the truth.

Anyway, welcome Tony. I thought this thread was about Xia's next dodgy venture.

I'm concerned too. Who's gonna drive him home when he works too late?
