Lots of decent boozers and restaurants in the Lanes. Generally safe and friendly. Hove side is a bit posher. Lewes is a lovely market town nearby too.

Worst possible time to play a promoted team. The first game will be tricky.

This is true, but out of the three promoted sides i’d rather play them away first.

If you like Ale, there are some pubs near the station that do a cracking pint of Harvey’s, or a Sussex as the locals say.
