Our Fans at Burnley

Thought overall fantastic, I personally started off at the Star by Manchester Road Station then onto the Cricket ground.  Good humour with the cricket and the Burnley fans there. 

In the ground jam packed and get natured, however there was quite a few instances of OTT stewarding and policing.  Funny how that ball bag of a woman (Burnley fan) managed to see the 90 minutes out sat in the ground of that wooden stand at the side.  She caused a lot of friction (sure a few should just have ignored her).  But people was getting thrown out and spoken too because of the gestures she had started.  (it was our football police as well who got involved so yellow card for them) 

We then scored the third goal and that chief bouncer /steward started to wade into a couple of fans totally unacceptable.

Again after the game with squads of police giving the bigum outside a couple of pubs for no reason. 

My point is very little went on yesterday that caused such reactions.  No doubt if mentioned to the Villa the Club will just shrug their shoulders.

There was a something I saw earlier saying one of the Burnley fans was thrown out for racially abusing some Villa fans.

The sight of several thousand Villa fans singing cheerio to a Burnley second XI batsman who's just feathered one behind will live long in the memory. And the batsman with 23 on his back suddenly wondering why we were all cheering him on. Did think that the two police horses were a bit over the top, but the police we encountered on the trains back to London via Leeds were all good natured. There were plenty of rival fans on their way to various games in both football and rugby, so it felt like they were on good watch-out.

Yesterday was probably my last away game....top criteria....done the hard yards over the years but finally had enough of dicks who've had too many jagers & too much dab!

The cricket club was a great crack....fair play to those players....they took some stick!

I have to laugh at the number of lads queuing for toilet cubicles at away grounds/pubs.  Seems to be a lot of 'upset stomachs' about these days...

My daughter who is 26 and my step daughter who is 24 have stopped drinking in town for a while now which really surprised me as i was collared into dropping them off pretty often

When i asked why they dont go now they both say the same thing - almost every lad between 19 - 28 are totally obsessed with Coke (other drugs are available so i am told) and spend most of their time with other lads in the toilets / alleyways etc.

The biggest issue is that it is too cheap and too available. Another issue is that it is such poor quality, because it is cheap, that they need to "refuel" constantly

So glad im an old fart now who think taking a risk is changing my brand of tea bag

It's the same every year at the Cheltenham Festival, in fact, if someone just uses the toilet for it's intended purpose, it's like a breath of fresh air.....
