Two things to consider here. Firstly, we have had almost a 2 week break which, for any other team seems to be a bonus but, we always look knackered by half time. The other thing is that they’ve got 2 or 3 players out. For us, in the last few games, the other teams have had important players out but, we never seem to take advantage. I see also that we are slight favourites to win with the bookies. All those things combined, we know what the outcome is likely to be as only Aston Villa can.

3.1 to them

Gerard to look thoughtfully moody much of the game

Set pieces are key against these. They cannot defend corners to save their lives.

….and we can’t take a decent one to save ours.
Oh for the days of a Steve Staunton ‘whipped in’ corner…..drool.

He would be a better option than Doug who takes most of them.

I'd like to see this.  Don't suppose we will though.

                Martinez
Cash  Chambers  Mings  Digne (if fit)
               Luiz   Marv
Buendia    Coutinho     Ramsey
                   Ings
I like this team and I think we’ll get a 2-0 win

This will be the start of a very good and much needed run.

Vardy back for them, nailed on a brace for rat face.

Not according to the local rag round here he isn't. Back in training but not fit enough for Saturday.

I watched a bit of their game last night and what struck me is how they over pass when in decent positions resulting in very few real chances.  They were better than Everton but then most are these days.  If we go there to win we will if we go about our business correctly.
