Sky are saying that since they starting keeping records for this stat 15 years ago, that was the most saves a Spurs keeper has made in a first half of a match, which says it all. Thought we were superb, the best 1st half performance against a top 4 side since the 7-2, outside of the top 2, we played the form team in the league off the park. Now need to carry that form into the Leicester match, who thankfully won't have a world class striker in their team.

Is Vardy not yet fit for them?

Are there wholly justified reasons for leaving early? A wedding? A birth? A break-in? If so then the whole question is moot.
No further questions m'lud.

We were losing four-nil. It wasn't any fun. Why would I keep doing something that is making me miserable?

I ask myself that every morning when I arrive at work.

I find the worse of the lot are the ones from the back who leave, and because mates on your row have already gone, jump in the empty seats to get closer to the exits. Its their indecision that annoys me. If you're leaving just leave ffs!
I know someone who left the play off final early. They were convinced Derby were going to make a biblical come back. Missed the presentation of the trophy and all the good stuff.
Regarding the game we threw the kitchen sink at them for that period in the 1st half but I was never convinced we would score. add to that the usual gift of the first goal. it was typical Villa. Having ings and watkins on the pitch at the same time would be my preference but you can see ings is a bit in awe of watkins. there are times when ings could of had a shot and he tried to pass to watkins and the defenders nipped in.

I also edge down into empty seats to get closer to the exit. I must be the worst fan ever.

I was sat next a woman yesterday who asked me if that’s where the away fans are while pointing to the Holte End. She then didn’t come out for the second half.

Playing one of the splitter six will always bring out day trippers with no clue other than they want to watch "Sonny" and "Kaney" live.

Actually had one guy next to me yesterday in first 20 minutes asking for I could sell him a Liverpool ticket as his 12 year old nephew supported them and he wanted to bring him to watch Salah and co! I explained I didn't know the regulars who sat there as I'd actually got my ticket off someone who'd resold their season ticket online and he then went down to the concourse and didn't see him again all game.

In a 40k crowd you're always going to get some interesting characters I guess.

One other aside from yesterday....is it me or is half time just crap now. Were the scores from the other games even read out at all? I remember we used to get 2-3 fans to try to shoot towards the centre circle to win some prizes but guess that's been ditched due to covid. Why don't we get some popular old players back and interview them on the pitch?

All yesterday had was Russ Morris reading out Villa rewards winners.

For such an apparently progressive and upwardly mobile club some of our operations do feel very lacklustre compared to many others.

Could always keep underperforming players from the first half out at half-time, launch custard pies at them.

Only it wouldn't be custard pies I'd be throwing. It would be hot gravy. And gravel.

Villa and Clyde half and half merch would make a killing in the Witton/North stand corner.

Yeah we moved down on 86 minutes then hovered around the exit for a while before leaving
No idea why
